      Hilton Alexandria Old Town, is seeking a talented Sales Manager to join the Sales and Catering Team! As our Sales Manager you will be responsible for the Government Market soliciting new business while maintaining relationships with existing clients to generate repeat group business and achieve assigned goals. Job Requirements: The Government Sales Manager is responsible for effectively soliciting and becoming familiar with all government accounts in the market . He/she is also responsible for prospecting and closing on assigned accounts/territory to positively impact hotel revenues: * Solicit assigned accounts to achieve or exceed sales goals revenue and to improve performance in the marketplace. . * Make sales appointments and use readerboard tools to consistently prospect accounts for all direct sales segments. * Regularly contact existing accounts. * Monitor production of all top accounts and evaluate trends within our market. * Meet or exceed sales solicitation call goals as assigned by the Director of Sales. * Invite clients to the hotel for entertainment, lunches, tours and site inspections, etc. * Assist in implementing special promotions relating to direct sales segments. * Attend and participate in Sales Meeting(s). * Attend monthly meetings of SGMP and become an active member with the organization * Maintain an active and visible position in the local markets; develop networking opportunities within community * Meet and greet onsite contacts 2 years of hotel sales experience required Washington D.C area. market experience preferred but not required We offer a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits and an aggressive quarterly and annual bonus plan!
