  • Sales Manager   Apply Online
        We are in search of an experienced Hotel Sales Manager to assist with the development and implementation of the total sales and marketing effort for the hotel, including securing new accounts, maintaining existing accounts, and assist in executing sales and marketing strategies to maximize the profitability of the hotel while maintaining customer satisfaction. This highly Motivated Sales Manager primary focus will be the government Market PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Sells hotel guestrooms groups, catering services, and banquet facilities through direct client contact to maximize total rooms revenues and profits. Establishes client base of organizations, associations, social, and corporate businesses through direct outside and inside sales effort for the purpose of securing business for the hotel to ensure that predetermined sales expectations are met or exceeded. Develops and maintains relationships with key clients in order to produce group and/ or convention business. Negotiates guest room rates, meeting room rental, function space, and hotel services within approved booking guidelines. Confirms in writing to the client all requirements via sales contract. Conducts tours of the hotel and banquet facilities; entertains qualified potential clients in accordance with company and property policies and procedures. Assists the Director of Sales with the implementation and achievement of the Sales Marketing plan. Attends and represents company at trade shows and city-wide conventions. Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner. Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction. Requirements 3years + hotel sales experience within the corporate/ group market. Knowledge of DELPHI system. Corporate / Transient sales experience is preferred. Experience with DC/ Northern Virginia market is preferred. Strong solicitation/prospecting/negotiation skills. Participate as an active sales team member to benefit the overall sales department efforts and goals. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Excellent interpersonal skills and superior guest service skills. Actively participate in industry related organizations.

        Updated Contemporary Dining At Our Old Town Hotel… After a long day our guests just want to relax and enjoy a good meal or have a cocktail in the lounge. At the Hilton Alexandria Old Town, they can savor gourmet dining - without even leaving the comfort of our hotel. We are looking for that special individual that wants to join the winning team of the Hilton Alexandria Old Town. The Outlets Manager is expected to have direct involvement with guests and employees. This is a "hands -on" position that requires active, vigorous leadership to run the all the Food and Beverage Outlets of our hotel Seagar's Restaurant & Lounge, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner Room Service, for private in-room dining, available from 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Private Dining Room, accommodating up to 18 guests Starbucks Coffee store at our Lobby. The ideal candidate must have at least two years experience in a similar type of environment. Specific Responsibilities: Generate maximum financial performance of the Food & Beverage Outlets. This includes responsibility for generation of revenue and effective cost controls. Champion the Food Department elements of the property and Hilton Brand Standards. Provide guest service that meets or exceeds company standards. Training and development of outlets associates Achieve the Human Resource goals for the F&B Outlets Maintain a professional and ethical image for the Food and Beverage outlets of the hotel. Function as a key member of the hotel's management team. Performance Standards: The effectiveness of the Outlets Manager is measured by the achievement of the following goals: The financial performance of the Hotel's Food and Beverage Department in terms of both sales and profit Operational professionalism and effectiveness as measured by the company review and shopper's programs. Operational quality and guest satisfaction as measured by guest comment cards (SALT), and in-house shoppers programs (MODs). The timely achievement of specific goals and action plans detailed in the Annual Business Plans and performance appraisal process. Employee turnover and satisfaction as measured by the company's turnover report and periodic climate survey. Specific Position Duties: Some of the Outlets Manager position duties are listed in general below: Guest Satisfaction Focus on Customer Service excellence and Hilton Brand Standards in all operations decisions. Create a guest first priority and "Can do attitude" throughout the food and beverage outlets. 100% table touch while on duty, monitor call back program Monitor Guest Satisfaction reports, Follow up with each guest. Discuss results with employees. Take corrective action. Review results of our shopper's program. Set goals and actions to correct variances. Leadership/Team Members Develop a team approach among all employees and management that focuses clearly on guest satisfaction. Operational Oversee and supervise the daily restaurant, lounge and room service operations. Marketing and Promotions Lead the development and implementation of the promotional/sales plan for food outlets to achieve the Department's financial goals.
